I’ve been on the WRIGHT path, since day 1 and most definitely made the WRIGHT choice 😊. We are not just colleagues or staff here we are one big family. Wright Care at Home prides itself on being a family company….

Along my journey as a carer for Wright care at home, I’ve come across many challenges, different customer needs, and have been touched by so many of those customers. That’s what I love about care in the community, every day is different from the one before.

I’ve been trained to the highest of standards and love learning, I am proud of the certificates I’ve achieved in such a short space of time. Sammy and the team always listen to the training needs we want and we always get it. There’s never any false promises as it’s about delivering the highest care! In fact, I’m now about to enter my level 3 in Health and Social Care.

As you can imagine each day is different, the learning never stops as we face new things every day.

listening to the customer’s stories, so many lovely stories and even though I may have heard it many times before, I listen as if it’s the first.  Supporting those with dementia is especially rewarding. Seeing a smile light up on my visits.

I believe in treating customers as my extended family, respect, giving them choice, independence and making their day. But most importantly, if they have laughed and smiled I know I’ve done my job well. 😊. As they say laughter is the best medicine. They are so right!

So, as I prepare to get ready for work, I shall leave a simple message…

Enjoy living, laughing, and be around people you love, and do a JOB that you love…I know I do xx
