Chuckle Brother Paul Elliott visits Stamford to raise money for Marie Curie
Shoppers had their heads turned by a childhood icon during a busy market day in Stamford.
Paul Elliott, best know as one half of the Chuckle Brothers, visited the town today (Friday) to support a charity close to his heart.
Volunteers were out in force to raise money for Marie Curie and having experienced the charity’s work himself, Paul was only too keen to help out.

Ashley won the award for her professional attitude and calm manner when attending to a client that needed immediate medical attention. She provided a family member with emotional support and stayed late to ensure her client felt safe and reassured.

Care workers have gone above and beyond to help a veteran regain his freedom. Wright Care at Home care workers have spent a year sourcing a mobility scooter to help one of their customers, Philip, gain some independence and connect with the community.

Staff at a care company endured sore feet and a few blisters to walk the Rutand Water peninsula in aid of charity. A team of eight at Wright Care at Home took on the six-mile challenge in two groups to raise £255 for Alzheimer’s Society.

Hard-working staff at Wright Care at Home in Stamford were thanked with a surprise party. The party, at their office in Broad Street, was put on as part of the firm’s three year birthday celebrations on Thursday that included a prize-giving of great gifts and cakes and drinks.
Carers fill the air with love for Valentine’s
Love was in the air on Valentine’s Day for customers of a Stamford care company as they were given cupcakes. Around 35 customers of Wright Care at Home in Stamford and the surrounding villages were personally delivered the sweet treats by their carer, including someone in Peterborough City Hospital.

Staff at a care service are delighted after their service was rated as ‘outstanding’. Stamford-based firm Wright Care at Home had a planned inspection by the Care Quality Commission, which took place in March and April.

A Stamford care at home service has been judged ‘outstanding’ following a review by inspectors. It is also heavily involved in charitable matters, following the death of a co-founder and its youngest carer.
