We are delighted to welcome you to the re launch of our Wright Care at Home website, Over the last 12 months we have expanded our services to cover Bourne, the surrounding areas as well as already covering Stamford and the surrounding area. With this launch we felt it was the right time to reflect over our achievements over the last year. Especially as we approach our 5th Birthday! 2020 was a year that no one could have expected, with the Covid19 Pandemic this threw lots of challenges our way with the change to how we approach community care and maintain the safety of our care workers, customers, and their families. We had to very quickly adapt to new ways of working and practices. These practices are now the new normal for us and we will continue to work to these practices for the foreseeable future. Full PPE and weekly covid testing seemed so strange 12 months ago however now this is just our new way in our health and social care setting. However, it was also a year that enabled us to shine, show our incredible teamwork and how we can make a difference to those who are vulnerable. This was recognised when we were awarded the Mercury Business Award ‘Team of the year 2020’ by Counseller Kelham Cooke. There was so much focus for us as a team to ensure mental well-being was maintained during shielding and isolation periods. We were innovative in our approach to care to ensure we could still deliver a high standard of service and maintain and strengthen social connections within our wider community. This was noticed and appreciated by our customers and gave us new opportunities to re-develop roles within our business and recognise personal successes. In Dec 2020 we relocated our Wright Care at Home office to South view Business Park on Tinwell Road, giving us the space and surroundings to really build on our ethos and current values. Providing a larger space to grow our business but also the space to welcome and promote new events that in time will be a benefit to our customers who are an extended part of our Wright Care at Home Family. Over the coming months we are hopeful that as restrictions are lifted, we will be able to return to community events and adding a difference not just to those we deliver care to but also the wider community building on our already strong relationships with charities and those other partnerships we work alongside. We are hoping to offer a counselling service alongside our palliative care delivery and continue to work with local charities to help advocate the work they do to promote mental health and support those with conditions we care for. This gives us continued updated knowledge and allows us to empathise with those we provide a service to. Our new office space will allow us to build further relationships and invite guest speakers into our hub to provide support to others. Over the last year we have welcomed new team members to help with the increased demand for home care and we are incredibly proud of our team. To join a frontline career during this time just shows how much courage and compassion our carers have. Often masking their own feelings or worries whilst looking after others. Care is a skill and the last year has shone a light on this career and with the clap for the NHS and carers being such a lovely thank you token during the first months. Wright Care at Home carried out their acts of kindness news weekly through the whole of 2020, giving shout outs to not just our team but those who were working so hard in the community to keep us all safe including those making scrubs, head bands, laundry bags, and much more. We could not have remained strong without the local community coming together to keep us going. In September 2020 we received our inspection results which was completed 2 days ahead of the first lock down. We were awarded an overall ‘Outstanding’ rating by the Care Quality Commision. A huge achievement and success. One we hope to be able to celebrate soon. Our new website has been designed by Christina at www.creative-pixel.co.uk. Christina has been working over the last 6 months to ensure our ethos, culture and core values were displayed. We wanted our website to really shout about our successes and to keep everyone updated of our continued news. It contains press releases and personal blogs from our frontline staff on their thoughts in their role. We wanted you to get a real feel for our team and what we are about. It is a platform we are excited to share and launch. Using photos from over the last 5 years of our customers and carers was wonderful. We were able to reminisce about how far we have come, and we are excited to be able to now launch this to you all. Here is what Christina said about working with us: “I was honoured to work with Sammy and the team at Wright Care at Home on this incredibly exciting and rewarding project. They provide the most incredible and valuable service to their customers and I really wanted to help them showcase this with their new website. Everyone at Wright Care at Home were so supportive throughout the project, and the input from all members of the team has resulted in a fresh, new website that we can all be proud of.“ The last 12 months have been a year of emotions but as always, our team come together to support one another and their customers and we could not be any more proud. We hope you enjoy our new launched website as much as we have loved creating it. For now, watch this space….. We can’t wait to celebrate any new achievements over the next year with you Written by Samantha Wright Founder
