Acts of Kindness – 7

Acts of Kindness continuing this week…..

Kerry was so thoughtful this week and took some flowers along to a visit for one of our customers…flowers never fail to bring a smile!
A few weeks ago, Val knitted a dishcloth for a customer and it was so appreciated she was asked to knit one for the customers daughter, she dropped this off with her weekly copy of the Stamford Mercury! Val also dropped a handcrafted beautiful gift off to us at our hub. It is just so special, and we love it, So thoughtful, we have the best team.

Rainbow appears during Clap for Carers…..

As we all clapped for our Carers this week something truly beautiful happened…a rainbow appeared! It has become a symbol of this lockdown period with many homes displaying them in their windows as a message of hope and as our Care Director Sammy says ‘At the end of every storm there is a rainbow’

Generous donations…..

We have received some great donations this week for our Customers and Care Team.
A Huge thank you to Wiltshire farm foods for sending care packages to all our customers. Delivering some nutritious goodness for everyone to try during lockdown. A lovely gesture and thank you to our lovely Margie for supporting with the organisation of this too.

Joy, Rachel & Hazel knitted our carers some ear savers to wear with their face masks.
Rachel is currently a nurse working locally, thank you so much for thinking of us even though you’re in the thick of everything – we will get through this together.
Joy & Hazel are both retired nurses showing their support for our frontline care team and we can’t thank you enough ‘For the love of scrubs’ Stamford/Deeping/Rutland/Yarwell group also delivered some sets of scrubs for our Care Team. These really have helped with making sure that the team always have clean, dry uniform ready for every shift. With the extra hours and different shift patterns they were having to wash and dry uniform ready for their next shift with a very quick turnaround.

A very special Thank you …

A little ‘six weeks of lockdown’ thank you!
Thank you to everyone for staying home, we know these last few weeks have been hard but we wanted to thank you for helping us to keep going.
We are so grateful for the love and support shown within our wonderful community, we have been truly overwhelmed throughout the weeks
