Acts of Kindness – 6
Another week has passed during this uncertain time, we are bringing a week full of positive news to lift the spirits of our customers and team…..
Members of the public show their support……
Our care team have been so overwhelmed by the acts of kindness shown to them over this past week. Val was at a newsagents and a customer left money near the coffee machine and said ‘have a coffee on me, you’re doing a great job. Kerry was out and about in the community carrying out her calls and she was approached by a little girl who left a very pretty pink flower on top of her car!
Helping with Headbands Stamford…..
Sarah our Care Manager put out a call to anyone that could help with supplying headbands to help with the Care Teams increasingly sore ears….the Helping with Headbands group delivered just that and more. We were absolutely delighted to receive headbands which the facemasks can be buttoned to and also laundry bags so that all of their uniform can be put straight into after a shift and put into the washing machine
Care packages donated by SOS Stamford…..
At the start of the lockdown we received information from a group in Stamford called ‘Support our Stamford’ They have been offering support to the community from collecting prescriptions to dog walking. They have also now been enlisted by Waitrose to help them with distributing packages to the community. We were incredibly grateful to receive Care Packages for our Care Team this week packed full of energy boosting snacks to keep them going! We have also been supplied with more stocks of face shields by ‘Give back Peterborough’, Kings School Peterborough and Craig Revie.
Acts of Kindness featured in Stamford Mercury…
