Acts of Kindness – 3
We continue this week with more generosity and kindness shown by our wonderful Care Team…..
Our lovely Hollie
Where there is a storm there is a rainbow.
Hollie has joined us in a time of uncertainty and anxiety for our customers and this can’t have been easy. However, she has shown the true qualities of a carer….
This week she has been spreading kindness like confetti. Yesterday she took a cake she baked for a customer to add some cheer.
They put the world to rights and enjoyed a hot cuppa. Hollie also spent her time this week helping a customer set up a new lifeline. Something normally her family would have helped with but with social isolating this wasn’t possible.
Thank you, Hollie, for going above and beyond you’re a superstar
Mel is our admin events coordinator and often it’s the roles behind the scenes we forget to shout out about Mel has been working out of hours to ensure that the wellbeing of the team during this scary time is managed. She’s been making daily calls to our care team and customers letting them scream shout cry laugh giggle……
Despite her own emotions Mel has been putting these to one side for everyone else.
She’s also had a busy morning preparing our customer activity packs which are on their way to your doors now filled with positiveness and activities to help everyone in isolation.
Thank you, Mel, you’re just amazing in every way possible.
The wonderful Tallington Farm Shop today kindly gave away to keyworkers NHS and care workers fruit boxes.
Our lovely Care Manager collected them for those who were in need and then delivered them to the doorsteps for our team. A huge thank you to Tallington for being so kind. It means so much to our team who are out every day delivering care to keep us all safe.
Tania started her morning with some emergency treat drop offs to those in isolation all before the 7am care visits begin. Because we care….
The lovely Val was given some cotton by one of our customers, so she decided to make a dishcloth for her… ideal as at this time we are undertaking the extra Milton cleans at the moment! Val said it put a big smile on the customers face as Val had made it especially for her.
Our Care Manager put out a call to our care team to locate good quantities of the Milton tablets that we are currently using, and they delivered! Tania and Lucy were able to speak to the store staff and explain what they were being used for….a big thank you to Boots and Savers in Stamford for supplying us with enough to hopefully see us through for a few weeks and more!
