Wright Care At Home – June Newsletter
June certainly hasn’t been flaming this year but with all the showers and sunshine it has produced some stunning floral displays in our gardens and parks and ‘Stamford in Bloom’ has delivered some wonderful ‘planted Chairs’ around the town centre. We can’t believe we are halfway through the year and already planning events for September and October….
Pretty Muddy for Cancer Research
On Saturday June 1st we completed the race for life muddy run to raise money for Cancer Research UK. There was lots of mud but lots of laughs and what a great team we were!!! The before and after pictures are below.
We fell off space hoppers, laid in the river and tried not to eat the mud that was being sprayed at us!!
Well done Wright Care at Home as always team amazing and we raised a whopping £220 for Cancer Research UK.
Macmillan Bake Sale
Our lovely Care Ambassador Tania arranged a Bake sale on Friday 7th June.
Sadly, her Daddy lost his fight to cancer last year. A time we all remember so well. Tania is strong, she is so loyal and caring and has a heart of gold. She is beyond caring in every way and to give something back to Macmillan cancer she is walking 26.3 miles to help other families.
We are extremely proud of Tania. Grief is so heart-breaking, raw and never disappears but becomes something to live with daily. We admire Tania for doing this challenge to emotionally help others and ensure the care is provided when needed most.
Tania raised £150 from the bake sale and we will be cheering her on for her Mighty Peak Hike on the 27th July.
We pride ourselves on making sure our Care team are always up to date with their training and Derek supports us with this when we identify a need.
This week some of the team received refresher training for Safeguarding and Health and safety which they all enjoyed.
Upcoming Charity Events…

Look out for next month’s newsletter with a return date for our beautiful Care Director, Sammy Wright, on the completion of her Maternity leave. Sammy, Mollie and Maisie are making the most of this special time. Looking forward to having her back with us.
