Wright Care At Home is 3!
3rd Birthday Celebrations…..
April the 24th is a special day for us here at Wright Care at Home… We celebrated our 3rd birthday
We surprised our Care team with parties, which they thought they were coming to team meetings! They were blind folded and led into the office then all was revealed.
It’s all about the Family ethos here and we wanted to treat them for all they do for the community. We had some very generous donations from local businesses which we presented to the team along with a personalised certificate and goodies.
We would like to thank all of our customers, family and Team for your continued support.
To Absent Friends
Our birthday didn’t go without a special moment to think about the absent friends. For our special customers we have supported over the last year that sadly are now fond memories. And for a loved founder of Wright Care at Home who sadly wasn’t able to celebrate with us.
Upcoming Charity Events
Saturday June 1st
Pretty Muddy 5K – Burghley House Stamford for Cancer Research UK
Saturday June 15th
Moonlight Walk – Stamford in support of St Barnabas Hospice
3rd Birthday Cards
Kindness should be spread like confetti…. For our recent birthday we sent all our customers a card sharing some of our 3rd year memories. All the key carers wrote a personal Appreciation message inside about why that customer is so special to them.
Greatly received and a lovely personal touch from our Care team!
Walk To Remember
Our amazing team including the kiddies walked the 6k Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice Walk to remember …. Raising money for such a worthy charity to support families and individuals when they need it the most. So close to all our hearts. A lovely morning too to bring the team together and also our furry friend Simba and surprise view on the river of a nesting Swan!!!
We offer visits that make a difference. Do you have a loved one friend or relative that needs support in their own home? We support customers in Stamford and the surrounding villages with 1 hour visits 365 days a year to ensure they have all they need.
From the Director
We have been very busy this last month, with the celebrations for our third birthday. This makes me think about the early days of helping with the setup of the business with Sammy.
When Sammy first discussed with Simon and myself that she wanted to start a Homecare business which would benefit all involved: The customers, families and the Care team, we had no idea what a large part of our lives it would become.
I was only too happy to help where I could, with planning and organizing and offering two then three then four days a week backup for the new office space she had found. I took qualifications along with the care team in order to understand the industry, followed by a specific administration qualification for health and social care.
Working alongside the wonderful ladies in the management team, as well our amazing Care team has given me a focus and sense of belonging that I have not experienced before in my career.
I am grateful to Sammy for allowing me to play a small part in her dream
