Wright Care At Home – March Newsletter
March has seen some beautiful weather and we have started to see plants spring into life, we continue to keep our fingers crossed for the snow staying away.
It has been another busy month for Wright Care at Home with Charity events, International Women’s Day and Team meetings. We are so excited to also be preparing for our 3rd Birthday celebrations.

On Friday 15th March we joined a team of volunteers in a very windy Stamford High Street to help with the Great Daffodil appeal. We are so proud to announce that £621.19 was raised and well done to our team for going above and beyond for our community.
Tina celebrates 1 year of service…
Tina is our shining example of how we develop our team on individualised Pathways. Tina joined us as a CARE WORKER last year. She has spent many years in the health and social care industry as a community care worker and as a team leader with the hospital transport teams.
She was looking for a career not just a job. Where she could make a difference yet develop her personal skills too.
She’s a superstar! To now be part of the management team at Wright Care at Home. We couldn’t be prouder than to have Tina as part of our Wright Care at Home family.
International Women’s Day 2019….
A big ‘Well done’ to Ellie for featuring in the International Women’s Day celebration page in the Stamford Mercury this month. We asked our care Team to vote for one of their colleagues who they felt deserved recognition for going above and beyond for our customers. The Care Team felt that Ellie was the most deserving of being featured in the article for her contribution to our customers and the community.
The Care Team enjoy their monthly meeting…..
Once a month we arrange for our Care Team to come into the office and we discuss updates, any training needs and present certificates. This month the carers enjoyed a team building exercise which involved them having to work together to construct a shape from a large piece of string and the importance of how communication needs to be visual and verbal.

I have recently increased my working hours and now work Wednesday to Friday supporting Margie with Administration and telephone support for the Care Team and I am now so pleased to to look after all Charity and Events that we organise at Wright Care at Home.
I am busy planning lots of events for our care team that also support the many charities who work alongside conditions of our customers such as Alzheimer’s Society, Marie Curie, Cancer Research and The British Heart Foundation.
Our plan is to raise £2000 for charity this year through the various events…look out for lots of photos in the following newsletters.
