Wright Care At Home – April Newsletter

April has been a month to show our customers and team how much we appreciate them with a delivery of daffodils and bunnies.

We have also welcomed new team members and continued with our charity commitments. The Bank holidays brought some glorious weather which has helped us all to enjoy being outside again.

We hope you enjoy our April newsletter.

British Heart Foundation Collection …

On Wednesday 10th April Melanie, Tania and Nicola visited Morrisons in Stamford and held a bucket collection for British Heart Foundation.

The collection was so well received we have decided to get another date in the diary. We are hoping the two collections added together will raise a great amount for a vital charity.

Spring Planter donated to Newcomb Court…

We are always looking for opportunities to bring some beautiful blooms into our customers day and we when we heard of a new patio and seating area at Newcomb Court, we thought what a perfect opportunity it would be to donate a spring planter.

Tania and Nicola our Care Ambassadors (pictured above) delivered the planter to Ian Walsh at Newcomb court and it instantly brightened up the patio area.

We hope our customers enjoy the planter for many months to come.

Happy Easter to our wonderful Care Team and Customers….

Although Sammy is on Maternity Leave she is always thinking of her team and delivered lots of lovely purple bunnies to the office to be distributed to everybody. Tina also spotted some gorgeous daffodils at a local florist and we hand tied them with personalised messages and our care team delivered them to our customers to wish them a Happy Easter.

New Team Members…..

This month we welcomed 4 new team members. Lindsay and Susan will be working Full Time and Catherine will be working Part Time. Laura will be joining us as a bank care worker. They all come with a wealth of care knowledge and passion to deliver excellent standards of care. They all have already fitted into the Wright Care at Home family.

Having been featured in the newsletter last month for reaching my 1 year service I have been asked to write this month’s column.

After having the opportunity to a year ago to take a change of direction and come back into home care after spending 4 years with the patient transport ambulance service. I can honestly say every day is filled with fun and wonderful experiences. I came to Wright Care at Home as a Care Worker and spent some time learning and understanding the ethos of the company and quickly felt part of the family.

I quickly progressed to Care Co- Ordinator at the end of July 2018.
Some would say this is often the least coveted role in any care company as it involves so much more than just allocating calls.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sammy, Margie and Sarah believing in me and giving me the chance to grow and develop within the company and to all the office and care team for their ongoing support even with the endless phone calls and I look forward to whatever the future holds.

Tina Harvey
Care Co-Ordinator
