Wright Care at Home – September Newsletter
With our Care Manager ‘Samantha’ set to soon go on maternity leave we have been busy in the Head quarters of ‘Wright Care at Home’ ensuring the team is equipped and ready in her absence. We are delighted to announce we have a new Care Supervisor joining us in October. So, watch this space…. Sarah our current Deputy Care Manager is stepping into the role of Care Manager and we are excited to see her flourish in her role. Tina our Care Coordinator is now settling into her new role from her recent promotion and our Ambassadors are doing a fantastic job checking in with our customers and newer team additions. Its exciting watching the team develop and grow as individuals and a proud moment for us.
Welcome Melanie to the office team…
With the nature of our industry comes a tremendous amount of administration work and with our customer base and team growing we have now welcomed a brand-new Care Administrator to our office team!
Melanie now works in the office on a Thursday alongside ‘Margie’ and on a Friday to support the team in the office with phone calls and the planning of events, and upcoming news. Melanie has already settled into the ‘Wright Care at Home’ team and has even become our crafty ambassador! We finally now having moved to our larger office managed to create our Dignity tree – memory wall!
A while back you will remember we asked our customers to express what dignity meant to them receiving care and if they wished to contribute a photo that means something to them! Our wall is now looking fantastic and we can’t wait to watch it grow over time. If any of our customers want to contribute a photo, please pass this to one of your carers.
Care Worker Successes…
Congratulations to Paige who has almost completed her induction with us! Paige is currently working on her Care Certificate and is set to become a fully fledged member of our team.
Kayleigh has now completed her Care Certificate! Welcome Kayeligh you are now a fully fledged member of Wright Care at Home! Super proud!
Update on Jess and Amy…
Lots of customers have asked about Jess and Amy.We are delighted to let you all know that whilst Amy and Jess are returning to studies to further progress their careers they are still very much fundamental members of our team.
Jess is still delivering care on an ad-hoc basis around her other commitments but also still supporting the Care Management team. Jess will be working in the office still supporting annual leave and also, she will be out and about in the community carrying out spot checks on our team to quality assure the care delivered!
Proud to announce…
Amy is a superstar! With the knowledge and support of her ‘Wright Care at Home’ family Amy is training to become a paramedic. Often a career in care is a stepping stone platform to higher roles and we are so excited for Amy. She will be amazing, and we cannot wish her enough luck in her studies at university whilst she transitions into this role.
Amy is a breath of fresh air and is continuing to stay as a carer for ‘Wright Care at Home.’ She will be supporting us in her breaks from University so will still be a fundamental member of our team.
Level 2 nationally recognised qualifications awarded…
Claire has been working outside of her visits to work towards a level 2 in ‘understanding the principles of Dementia Care.’ This is a course that requires lots of hard work and we are proud to announce she was awarded her level 2 this month! Congratulations care. Our Dementia Care champion!
From the Care Manager…
Sadly, this is my last entry for a few months. From October 12th I will be out of the business whilst I am on maternity leave. An exciting time for my family however I shall miss being in the business for a few months. I will be taking 6 months leave however I’m sure I’ll be out and about visiting the team and customers still. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank my team for all their hard work and commitment to our ethos! Sarah will now be looking after things with Margie our second Care Director and anything you need please contact them. My emails will be out of action for a while. A great month of shout outs! Congratulations to the team who all received these successes! Your all amazing!
